Pocola Elementary’s mission is to create a safe environment, love unconditionally, and give our students the opportunity to learn every day. In striving to fulfill this mission, we at Pocola Elementary feel that the drop-off and pick-up procedures need to be improved to make them easier and safer for students and the community. Pocola Elementary will implement a new drop-off and pick-up procedure starting Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Parent/Guardian drop-off and pick-up will be at the back of the school, which should alleviate traffic on Pryor Ave. From Faye Street, you can access the road next to the baseball field.
Drop-off will be from 7:30 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. After 8:05 a.m., you must drop your children off at the front office and sign them in as tardy.
School dismisses at 3:10 p.m. You may start lining up at 2:30 p.m. It will run the same way it did in the front. Two lines will be formed once you have entered the circle part of the drive. There will be staff directing traffic. If you need to buckle up your child, there will be a pull-off on the track past the playground.
If you have to pick your child up early, you must park in the front, in the visitor’s parking. The middle of the parking lot will be closed to traffic from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Bus riders will be dropped off at the front doors between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Parking in the front lot will be prohibited from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
